US: Luctor launches pomegranate vodka

By | 14 September 2006

Luctor International is bringing a new vodka flavour to its Van Gogh brand in the US.

The Florida-based company confirmed yesterday (13 September) that a pomegranate flavour will be added to the range next month. The addition will be available in both the off- and on-trade nationwide.

"Pomegranate has a vibrant and tangy taste," said Dave van de Velde, Luctor's president. "It's delicious straight up or mixed with other vodka flavours, such as orange or citron. Martini connoisseurs are in for a treat with Pomegranate's bold, clean taste and versatility."

The company claims to have spent over a year getting the flavour right. The vodka is produced at Luctor's distillery in Holland.

Van Gogh Vodka is already available in 16 flavours.

Late last year, Pearl Vodka launched what it claimed at the time to be the first super-premium pomegranate-flavoured vodka in the US.
