Wine trader Les Grands Chais de France has acquired three more businesses in the wine market. The company has bought Cusenier, Pernod's subsidiary Bordeaux wine export business, and wine labels Alexis Lichine and Cruse, according to a report in Les Echos today. No financial details were disclosed.

Last year, the trader acquired the Domaine de La Baume estate near Montpellier from Constellation Brands.

Les Grands Chais de France is already a main player in the Languedoc vineyards and buys 900,000 hectolitres annually largely through partnerships with cellar co-operatives.

In 2003, the company posted an 8% rise in sales for the year of €450m. It is hoped that the new acquisitions will contribute €10m a year.
