The Laurent-Perrier supervisory board has appointed Stéphane Tsassis to the position of deputy general manager and member of the management board.
Tsassis, who will in due time succeed Yves Dumont, was previously president of the Japanese subsidiary and a member of the executive committee of Guerlain from 2005.
From 1996 to 2000, Tsassis managed Jean-Paul Gaultier Parfums and Issey Miyake brands, first as Asia regional director, then as international travel retail director. Since 2000, he has dedicated his work to Guerlain.
The position will take effect from 1 July and is aimed at "strengthening" the Laurent-Perrier's structures and "preparing for the future", the company said today (12 June).
Dumont declared towards the end of 2007 his wish to retire in spring 2010 after more than 11 years in the family-owned group.
