S AFRICA: KWV appoints new CEO

KWV Limited has appointed Thys Loubser as successor to CEO, Dr Willem Barnard, who is retiring after 12 years in the position.

Loubser, the current CEO of South African Nylon Spinners, will assume the position in February, the company said yesterday (16 November). He has also served as executive director with retail outfit Pep Limited and the Small Business Development Corporation.

A Stellenbosch University graduate, who majored as a civil engineer, Loubser also has experience and success in transformation initiatives, strategy formulation and implementation, as well as expanding international business.
