JAPAN: Kirin to boost Shanghai capacity - report

Kirin Beverage is investing JPY2.1bn (US$18m) in a new Shanghai subsidiary to build a pasteurised filling line for PET bottles this month, reported Jiji Press.
 
According to reports yesterday (20 April), the line will begin operations in spring 2007, bringing the Japanese company's overall beverage production in the Shanghai region of China up to 11.1m cases.

Kirin Beverage is the soft drinks arm of Kirin Group, the owner of Japan's largest brewer.
