Conley, who has served as COO and executive vice president of wine group Don Sebastiani & Sons, will oversee all Kautz operations and manage the development of its brands, the firm said this week.

President Stephen Kautz said: "Richard comes to us with 18 years of wine industry experience and brings a wealth of industry knowledge along with strong leadership skills to our operation."

Kautz has more than 5,000 acres of vineyards in Lodi and the Sierra Foothills, with brands including Ironstone, Sonoma Creek and Dog Tail Vineyards.
