Coming up at this year's London International Wine & Spirits Fair…
Tapanappa (Mentzendorff stand G72) will be launching Tapanappa 'Whalebone Vineyard' Merlot 2004 at this year's LIWSF. The wine from Brian Croser's Wrattonbully venture, is limited to 800 cases.
Also on offer to taste will be the Tapanappa Whalebone vineyard Cab/ Shiraz 2004 and the Tapanappa Tires Chardonnay 2005.
Evans & Tate (HwCg stand S30), meanwhile, will be represented at the fair by international sales manager Sue Croft. Among the wines on show from the Australian company will be the results of an ongoing four-year 'Chardonnay Project', in conjunction with the Australian Wine Research Institute.
At the same time, Evans & Tate will launch the 'Single Vineyard' collection - Wildberry Springs Estate Chardonnay 2005 and 'Stellar Ridge Chardonnay 2005.
Among the seminars taking place at the fair will be 'Wine Australia: Direction to 2025'.
The seminar, taking place on the Tuesday between 1000 and 1115 in the Waterfront Rooms/ South Gallery 7 & 8, will look at the future development for Australian wine in the global wine market. The plan will be presented by Kevin McLintock, chairman of the 'Directions' 15-member taskforce behind the initiative, and Paul Henry, Australian Wine & Brandy Corporation's GM of marketing development.
