US: Jones Soda confident distribution deals will boost sales
Jones Soda has expanded its product distribution with the Sobeys chain in Canada
Jones Soda has said that it expects to increase sales in 2012 thanks to expanded distribution in the US.
The US soft drinks producer said today (5 December) that it is confident of seeing US grocery channel volumes and sales rise next year as a result of new and existing distribution agreements. Jones said it has received retail authorisations for several US chains for 2012, including Safeway, Winn-Dixie and Publix, Kum & Go convenience stores and all US military commissaries.
In addition, Jones has expanded its product distribution with the Sobeys chain in Canada to include more stores.
"We are pleased that our strategy to focus on growth in our core products through investments in sales and marketing is paying off," said Jones Soda's CEO, William Meissner. "With these new retailer authorisations in place, we remain optimistic that we will see our US grocery channel sales volume and revenue increase."
Meissner added that the new grocery accounts will provide an opportunity to drive further increases in distribution next year.
