Jim Beam Apple will feature on Snapchat ads

Beam Suntory's Bourbon brand Jim Beam has claimed to be the first whiskey to use the Snapchat app for marketing efforts.

As part of a partnership between Jim Beam and Snapchat, branded video content will appear throughout various Snapchat Live Stories. The activity will run in the US from now until the end of October, and will promote the Jim Beam Apple expression, which was launched earlier this year.

'Live Stories' are curated streams of user-submitted 'Snaps' from various locations and events. When Snapchat users watch selected Live Stories, those 21 years and older will see video ads, viewable for 10 seconds, featuring the brand’s signature serve: Jim Beam Apple and soda.

According to Beam Suntory, Snapchat is currently the fastest growing platform for legal drinking age Millennials.
