Armenian Pepsi importer Jermuk Group has moved into bottling, with operations having started at its newly-built bottling plant in the country.

A spokesperson for PepsiCo told just-drinks today (6 June) that the facility, located in Yerevan in the country, has been constructed in order to supply the markets of Armenia and neighbouring Georgia. Previously, Jermuk had imported drinks produced by PepsiCo Georgia.

The Yerevan plant, which cost around EUR22m (US$32m), produces the Pepsi, Mirinda, Aquafina and 7Up brands.

PepsiCo declined to comment on the capacity of the facility but confirmed that it employs around 200 staff.
