Jackson Family Wines has appointed a former E&J Gallo marketing VP to oversee its estate wineries.

David Bowman will take on the newly-created role of senior VP for estate strategy with immediate effect, Jackson Family WInes (JFW) said yesterday (25 March). His focus will include Freemark Abbey, Stonestreet, Byron and Arrowood estates.

Bowman was previously VP of marketing for Gallo's premium and fine wine portfolio, which included William Hill Winery, Louis M. Martini Winery, MacMurray Ranch and Argentina's Don Miguel Gascón.

Prior to joining JFW, Bowman worked as marketing head for Fiji Water, which owns the Justin Vineyards & Winery and Landmark Vineyards.
