Interbrew is set to distribute Beck's in China. The Belgian brewer announced yesterday that it has secured a deal through its tie-up with Zhujiang brewery.

Under the deal, Zhujiang will use its sales and distribution channels to market Beck's throughout the country. Interbrew said it will help Zhujiang explore overseas markets, although the brewer did not elaborate on how it intended to do this.

Interbrew owns a 24% stake in Zhujiang Joint Stock Co.

Zhujiang, which has been Interbrew's partner in China for 20 years, ranks seventh in China's beer industry, with a market share of 3.6%. It has a market share of 50% Guangdong province, one of the richest in China.
