BELGIUM: InBev heralds Spring with Kriek launch

By | 20 March 2006

InBev's Belgian arm has continued its long-standing tradition of marking the start of Spring with a new beer with the launch of Kriek Primeur Extra.

InBev Belgium said it was aiming to build on the success of Belle-Vue Extra Kriek, which it launched on to the Belgian market three years ago. Kriek Primeur Extra becomes the third member of the Belle Vue Kriek family, alongside the flagship Belle-Vue Kriek and Belle-Vue Kriek Extra.

"The launch has resulted in a delicious spring beer with a particularly pronounced fruity taste thanks to the first lambic de griottes of 2005", the brewer said.

InBev has heralded the beginning of Spring with the launch of a new brew for the last 14 years. Company officials in Belgium could not be reached for comment as just-drinks went to press.
