UK: Imperia to bring Moldovan wines to UK

By | 1 April 2009

Imperia UK is to launch a range of Moldovan wines on the UK market.

One of the first companies to accept delivery of the wines will be John Gordons, a wine merchant from Cheltenham, the company said today (1 April).

Owner Gordon Duff said: "I look to offer my customers something different, a little unusual. With Moldovan wines I can recommend something new; they are decent, drinkable wines, which have a fascinating history. They have been overlooked for far too long."

Imperia managing director Tomas Lankutis said he has been "thrilled" by the response he has already had from the UK wine industry.

"I am delighted by the reaction we have had from the companies that we have approached."
