French wine group, Henri Maire, posted a net loss of €1.3m ($1.27m) for the first half of 2002, against a net loss of €650,000 ($633,360) in the corresponding period in 2001. The operating loss of at the company was €1.0m ($974,000), compared with an operating loss of €530,000 ($516,430) in the first half of 2001. Turnover fell by 9% to €14.6m ($14.2m).

The company is forecasting a net profit of €500,000 ($487,200) for the full 2002 fiscal year.
