Heaven Hill Distilleries is to release the third edition of its Parker's Heritage Collection in the US.
The 2009 'Golden Anniversary' edition, which celebrates Parker Beam's 50 years as Heaven Hill master distiller, will be released in September, the company said today (21 July).
"This Bourbon, a fitting tribute to an industry icon, has been 50 years in the making," said Susan Wahl, brand manager for whiskeys at Heaven Hill.
The Golden Anniversary edition will be offered nationally in a 750ml bottle, at 100 proof with an average retail price of US$150.
Only 1500 three-bottle cases will be produced, which will be allocated across the country and in select international markets.
Packaged in the same bottle as the 2007 and 2008 editions, the Parker's Heritage Collection Golden Anniversary bottling carries a gold and buff face label rather than the black and gold label of the previous two releases.
Last week, Heaven Hill lined up the off-trade launch of a range of pre-mixed cocktails in the US.
Burnett's Cocktails will initially offer three variants - cosmopolitan, margarita and mojito. All three will have Burnett's vodka as their spirits bases.
