US: Heaven Hill acquires Boisset’s Mohawk Spirits
Heaven Hill Distilleries has acquired the Mohawk domestic distilled spirits portfolio in the US.
The company said yesterday (4 June) that the purchase, from Boisset America, should strengthen Heaven Hill's relationships in Michigan, Texas, Louisiana, Wisconsin and New York with the addition of the Mohawk and Newport franchises, Basilica Imported Liqueur line and Rosita Tequila. Boisset America will retain agency agreements for its imported spirits business.
Heaven Hill president Max Shapira said: "The Mohawk domestic spirits business strengthens Heaven Hill's position in several key markets with added scale and value. In addition to the organic development of products, acquisitions such as this one have been a core strategy for growth within our company for many years."
Heaven Hill's portfolio includes brands such as: The Christian Brothers Brandies, Evan Williams Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Hpnotiq Liqueur, Whaler's Rum, Burnett's Gin and Vodkas, Dubonnet Aperitif, Pama Pomegranate Liqueur, Água Luca Brazilian Rum Cachaça among others. Heaven Hill is based in Bardstown, KY.
