US: Hansen appoints investigation committee

By | 7 November 2006

Hansen Natural Corp. has set up a special committee following an information request from the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Earlier this month, the Californian soft drinks producer said that the SEC had asked for "certain documents and information relating to the company's filing of SEC Forms 4 and the company's stock option grant practices from January 1, 1996 to the present".

Hansen said yesterday (6 November) that it has appointed a committee to "undertake a special investigation of certain option grants".

At the same time, Hansen warned that it may be unable to release its financial results for its third quarter on Thursday (9 November), as previously planned. The company said it will still go ahead with an investor conference call on the day, as expected.
