ROMANIA: Haber Hateg to sell stake in Heineken unit – report

Haber Hateg is mulling selling its stake in Heineken's Brau Union Romania, according to local reports.
The Romanian News Digest said yesterday (2 October) that the Romanian brewer will call a shareholders meeting for later this month to vote on selling its 2.4% share of Brau Union. At the end of last year, the news service said, Haber Hateg valued its stake at ROL6.44m (US$2.3m).
No-one was available for comment at Heineken when contacted by just-drinks today.
Earlier this year, local investor Adrian Andrici acquired a majority stake in Haber Hateg from the Romanian government worth ROL3.5m. Andrici is a member of the management board of investment fund SIF Muntenia.
The shareholder meeting will be held on 13 October, the news service added.
