Grupo Faustino winery Bodegas Campillo has changed its UK distributor after signing a deal with Inverarity Morton (IM).

The Spanish grower said today (13 June) the decision to drop Cellar Trends was in line with a policy to use a separate distributor for Campillo wines. IM has been recruited to help drive on-trade distribution for the brand among top-tier bars and restaurants, it said.

Financial details of the rolling contract, which begins next Thursday, were not disclosed.

David Robinson, Bodegas Campillo's export manager, said the winery was attracted by IM's on-trade presence in Scotland. “We look forward to working hand in hand to take Bodegas Campillo to a new level in the UK,” Robinson said.

Last month, New Zealand wine producer Amisfield said it was returning to the UK after signing a distribution deal with IM.
