E&J Gallo has appointed a vice-president and general manager for its international business unit. The US wine giant said today (29 March) that Brian Carlisle would fill both positions while being based in London.
He has spent the last 22 years at Kraft Foods, rising to the post of group vice president at Kraft Food Inc. and president Western Europe. He has broad general management experience, including expertise in brand marketing, new product introductions, brand promotion and strategic planning, Gallo noted. In addition, he has served in a board of director capacity on a number of industry associations and committees.
"We are excited to add Brian to our team given his marketing expertise and experience. Brian will be an asset to our international business and company," said Joseph Gallo, chief executive officer of Gallo.
"Joining Gallo is a terrific opportunity for me and I am excited to apply my skills to help continue to build demand for Gallo's wines throughout the world," Carlisle added.
