The wine unit of Foster's Group, Treasury Wine Estates, has lined up a television advertising campaign in the UK for its Wolf Blass wine brand.

The division confirmed today (11 October) that the nationwide push will launch this month and will highlight the Ashes cricket series in Australia later this year, and two recently-launched brand extensions.

One execution will offer the chance to win VIP trips to the Ashes this winter in Australia, which can be viewed below, while the other execution features the Wolf Blass Yellow Label Sparkling Rosé brand and the premium Wolf Blass Silver Label range. It will be aired on ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and regional variations as well as multi channels such as Sky and other independent stations.

Although specific financial details were not disclosed, Treasury Wine Estates (TWE) said the ads form part of the GBP2m (US$3.2m) sport-themed campaign which has been running for the Australian wine brand throughout the year in the UK.

Coinciding with the advert, TWE will also be launching 'The Platinum Club' online for Wolf Blass' consumers. The club will offer consumers exclusive sporting- and wine-themed content, including monthly competitions and offers, recipes and wines of the month, and reviews and tasting tips.
