Foster's has created the new executive position of transformation director, to help the beer and wine group with its restructuring plan.

The Australia-based company said today (9 April) that Donna Watt will join Foster's from KPMG, starting in the role on Tuesday (14 April).

"We have a significant change agenda before us and I am delighted to appoint Donna to this pivotal transformation role", said Foster's CEO, Ian Johnston.

Watt spent 16 years at KPMG as a program director, advising on a number of mergers, acquisitions and divestments across a range of industries.

Earlier this year, Foster's confirmed that it would keep hold of its struggling wine business, after conducting an eight-month review of its operations.
