By | 14 April 2009

Foster's Group has appointed Andrew Leyden to the newly created role of chief information officer.

Leyden, who joined Foster's in February 2002 as finance director for the Beringer Blass Asia Pacific business, will take up the position from today (14 April), Foster's said.

Leyden has held a number of senior finance and general management positions during his time at Foster's, including general manager for Asia and global finance director for Foster's Wine Estates.

Since September 2006, he has been global director for business processes and information technology.

Prior to joining Foster's, Andrew held senior positions in finance and general management with Reckitt Benckiser in Asia, Eastern Europe and the UK.

"Over the last eight years, Andrew has brought a strong business process focus to his varied roles", said Foster's CEO Ian Johnston. "His understanding of Foster's business ensures Andrew is the right choice to deliver on our information and technology plans."

Last week Foster's Group created the new executive position of transformation director, to help the beer and wine group with its restructuring plan.

The appointed Donna Watt will also begin her new role with the company today.
