Fortune Brands, the maker of Jim Beam, said it will meet fourth-quarter earnings expectations of between 87 and 92 cents per diluted share before restructuring and non-recurring items.

"Despite ongoing economic uncertainty, Fortune Brands is on its way to another excellent year," Chairman and CEO Norm Wesley told investors at the Morgan Stanley Global Consumer Conference in New York.

Full-year earnings are pegged at $3.15 to $3.20 per diluted share, up from $2.41 a year earlier, Wesley said.
