The Polish Treasury has received eight initial bids from companies interested in acquiring the country's largest spirits producer Polmos Bialystok, local press said this week.

The Treasury, which is selling at least a 51% stake, was reported to have said that bidders included US liquor distributor CEDC, Pernod Ricard, SPI Group, the Polish companies Polmos Siedlce, Polmos Lublin, Bols, Sobieski Dystrybucja and Alti Plus.

The bids will now be reviewed until February 24th when a shortlist will be published and due diligence can be made.

The Treasury is also making ready to sell around 20-42% of the company in an IPO.
