Drinks Americas has said that it expects net spirits sales in its second fiscal quarter to be significantly higher than last year.
Drinks Americas has so far received US$650,000 in spirits orders from distributors in its second fiscal quarter, which ends on 31 October, the group said today (7 October).
It expects to write the majority of this figure down as net revenue for the quarter, the firm said, giving it a strong increase on spirits sales of US$378,000 in the same quarter of last year.
"We are encouraged by the growth in our spirits lines of business," said company CEO Patrick Kenny.
Distributor demand has been particularly strong for Drinks America's Olifant vodka brand, which was boosted by a 22-city concert series fronted by rapper Snoop Dogg over the summer, the firm said.
Kenny added: "Our orders that we are producing now for spirits indicate that business is up 75% before we factor in Badass Beer, now selling in Michigan. We expect our inventory build on spirits and our expansion into the beer business to positively impact the coming quarters."
Badass Beer is the result of a partnership between Drinks Americas and rockstar Kid Rock.
