US: Don Sebastiani & Sons signs distribution deal

By | 24 April 2009

Don Sebastiani & Sons, International Wine Negociant and Young's Market Company have announced a seven-year, nine-state US distribution deal for the Three Loose Screws wine range.

The states covered by the deal are: Arizona, Alaska, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming, Don Sebastiani said yesterday (23 April).

Its Three Loose Screws wine portfolio includes; Smoking Loon, Pepperwood Grove, The Crusher, Aquinas Napa Valley, SKN Napa Valley, B Side, and Mia's Playground brands.

"In these times of corporate consolidation, transactional relationships, and dollar-based decision-making, it is heartening to be a part of a deal being made by two family-owned companies who share the same values and philosophy," said Don Sebastiani Jr.

Commenting on the reason for the deal, he said: "Since our inception in 2001 we have built relationships with some terrific distributor partners throughout the Western US, most notably the Meyerson family's Wine Warehouse, who achieved some great results in California.

"Late in 2008, we felt the need to identify a west coast partner who could help us grow our volume, broaden our distribution, and trade-up our portfolio in the coming years."
