DNA Beverage Corp has expanded its reach into Louisiana.
Distribution in the southern portion of Louisiana is being handled by Grass Roots Beverage Corp, DNA's wholly-owned subsidiary that currently distributes its DNA Energy drink throughout Florida, DNA said yesterday (16 April).
Distribution for Northern Louisiana will be the responsibility of Red River Beverage Corp, which already handles Dr Pepper Snapple drinks and National Beverage Co brands.
DNA Energy will be sold across Louisiana in convenience stores, drug stores and independent retailers.
"DNA's expansion into Louisiana is just the first step into covering the entire Gulf Coast region, including Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee," said Melvin Leiner, DNA chief operating officer.
"Our ability to attract national chain business is making it easier to find regional snack and beverage distributors eager to service these accounts and grow along with the DNA brand."
DNA Energy comes in 16oz cans in flavours including Lemon Lime, Citrus and Citrus Sugar Free. It retails for a suggested retail price of US$1.99.
Sectors: Soft drinks, Water
Companies: Dr Pepper
