Within six months of installing a dedicated wine marketer into the South American market, Distell has secured a significant wine listing with Brazil’s largest retailer, Companhia Brasileira de Distribuição –Grupo Pão de Açúcar (CBD).

Three brands, with a total of nine different wines should be on the shelves of CBD stores within the next six weeks.

Using the infrastructure it developed with its highly successful liqueur brand, Amarula Cream, Distell has gained listings for three wines each from the Two Oceans, Fleur du Cap and Oracle ranges, providing wines across the pricing spectrum.

CBD has an annual turnover of €10.4 billion, with 440 outlets of various formats countrywide.
