PANAMA: Diageo unveils new facilities as part of Latin America push
Diageo is throwing its weight behind the opportunity in Latin America
Diageo has said it is looking to "drive innovations" in Latin America with the opening of a new "technical" centre in Panama.
The centre, in Panama City, also includes a new customer service and distribution facility, it announced today (5 June). Diageo said the facility "sends a strong signal of commitment and confidence from Diageo towards Panama and the region".
Alberto Gavazzi, Managing Director of WestLAC, Diageo Latin America and the Caribbean, said: “Latin America continues to be a key pillar for Diageo’s growth strategy."
He added: "It is a significant step in our commitment to growing our business in Latin America and the Caribbean and is a sign of our confidence in Panama as a great place to do business.”
Gavazzi said the technical centre will "drive our innovations in product design and liquid development to sustain our growth and success in the region".
Total spend on the new facilites was not disclosed.
