Diageo is poised to invest in the construction of a new winery in Argentina. The winery, located in the west of the country, is expected to cost US$3m.

The new winery, under the brand name Navarro Correas, is expected to produce over 200,000 wine boxes per year.

Navarro Correas is an Argentine wine maker acquired by Diageo in 1996.

No date has been set for the winery to become operational.
