Diageo has launched a 'nautical' extension of its Talisker Scotch whisky portfolio.
The company said yesterday (17 September) that it has released a "luxury gift-pack" for Talisker, containing a bottle of the 25 Year Old variant of the Scotch. The packaging includes an oak display box, along with two bevelled-bottomed tipping glasses, "perfect for riding the waves out at sea".
The pack, which is made of leather, also includes a brass disk which can be returned to Talisker for a personal inscription.
The limited run will consist of 6,894 bottle worldwide, Diageo noted. Pricing for the gift pack was not disclosed.
Earlier this year, Diageo launched travel retail exclusive for the single malt, which is produced on the Isle of Skye. Talisker 57 Degrees North, whose name refers to the distillery's latitude and its alcoholic strength of 57% abv, bears no age statement and is available in European airport shops as well as onboard North Sea and Nordic ferry routes at a recommended retail price of GBP43.99 for a 1-litre bottle.
