Diageo is launching a new 12-year-old single malt whisky into Asian markets.

'The Singleton of Glen Ord' is being rolled out to South Korea, The Philippines, Thailand and Taiwan before a regional duty-free launch in August. It will be priced in line with other premium malts. An 18-year-old expression is being launched at the same time.

"This region is a dynamic market for both malts and deluxe blends and offers exciting growth opportunities," said Diageo marketing director malt whisky Nicholas Morgan. "The Singleton of Glen Ord 12-year-old offers a premium quality single malt with strong provenance, tested in depth and approved enthusiastically in a strikingly differentiated style and presentation."
