Diageo has confirmed pricing and location details for its updated range of Mortlach single malt Scotch whiskies.

Late last year, the company announced plans to revamp the Mortlach portfolio, while an expansion of the Mortlach distillery on Speyside was revealed in April.

The full range - including pricepoints - comprises:

  • Mortlach Rare Old, 43.4% abv - no age statement - GBP55 (US$92)
  • Mortlach Special Strength, 49% abv - GBP75
  • Mortlach 18-year-old, 43.4% abv - GBP180
  • Mortlach 25-year-old, 43.4% abv - GBP600

“Due to the very limited supplies of this unique liquid,” Diageo said, “these new expressions of Mortlach will be sold in 50cl bottles, except for the USA where for legal reasons 75cl bottles will be used.”

While the Special Strength expression will be available only in the Travel Retail channel, the rest of the stable will launch in London and Berlin in June, as well as in a “small number” of TR outlets globally. The roll-out will be extended to “cosmopolitan cities” in Asia Pacific - including Taipei, Beijing and Singapore - and to New York, Chicago and San Francisco from August.
