UK: Diageo buys back more shares

Diageo has rounded off the week with another share buyback. The company said yesterday (12 May) that it has purchased another 500,000 ordinary shares which will be held as treasury shares.

The transaction, through CSFB Europe Ltd, valued the shares at 799.09 pence each.

Diageo said that it now holds 76.805m shares. A total of 2,973,386,339 ordinary shares remain in circulation.
