Damm has seen a 4.3% rise in its first half pre-tax profits, the Spanish brewer has said, on the back of a 1.7% rise in turnover.

The brewer recorded pre-tax profits of €24.1m (US$29.4m) and turnover of €280m.

The company's beer operations recorded sales of €215m, a rise of 0.9%. Soft drinks, which included water and juices, saw sales of €56.3m, up 3.6%.

Damm is expected to spend €241m to increase its production capacity over the next three years.
