AUS: Craft brewer appoints Lion Nathan exec

Australian craft brewer Empire Beer Group has named a former Lion Nathan executive to the position of business development manager.

Empire, which owns niche brewer Colonial Brewing Co. Margaret River, said today (23 February) that Brendan Cocks had taken the role.

Cocks had spent seven years at Lion Nathan's Australian arm, where he held a series of roles in sales, marketing and production.

Empire said Cocks would focus on building the brewer's presence in the country's on-trade.
