CBA is upping Kona's distribution in the US

Craft Brew Alliance (CBA) is to take two of its Kona Brewing brands fully nation-wide in the US, with expansion into nine more states from next month.

Kona's Longboard Island Lager and Big Wave Golden Ale will roll out to Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oklahoma and West Virginia from the middle of next month, the company said. The brands will be available on draught and in six-packs.

The expansion means Hawaii-based Kona's brands will be available in all 50 US states.

Last month, CBA, which is 32%-owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev, launched Kona's beers into Canada. Earlier that month, the company reported that its nine-month net profits had nearly doubled, off a 13% rise in sales.
