Corby Distilleries today (5 June) announced it will no longer represent Gruppo Italiano Vini (GIV) brands Folonari and Melini.

The Canadian distillery, a newly acquired subsidiary of Pernod Ricard SA, has received a notice of termination to end its representation of the GIV brands as of 30 June.

Folonari and Melini accounted for 5% of Corby's sales volume in fiscal 2005, but because Corby only earns commission income on the brands, they represented just 1%, or $1.2m, of the group's net operating revenue.

Jacob's Creek and Wyndham Estate wines were among the labels added to the Corby portfolio when it was integrated with Pernod Ricard SA on 1 April this year.
