UK: Coors Brewers makes board appointments

Coors Brewers has appointed David Heede to its board of directors in the UK.

Heede, who becomes finance director with additional responsibility for IT, replaces Stewart Glendinning, who was promoted to the position of chief financial officer of the Molson Coors Brewing Company.

Joining the business in 1979, Heede has over 15 years of finance experience as well as having held significant leadership roles in sales, strategic sourcing and business strategy.

Replacing Heede as strategy director is Simon Cox who joined Coors in 2005 and is currently director of strategic sourcing and technical. 

Cox joined the brewing industry in 1989 and has run breweries in Denmark, Vietnam and China. 

Mark Hunter, CEO at Coors Brewers Ltd said: "These changes signal our ambition and capability to develop our people and I would like to personally thank Stewart for his contribution and support as he moves to the USA and wish David and Simon every success in their new roles."

The appointments are effective from 1 July and will be based in the head office in Burton on Trent.
