Coors Brewers has announced plans to support the UK government's 'Harm Reduction Strategy' by carrying additional sensible drinking advice on its beers.

The company said today (1 May) that it will carry the Government's sensible drinking message and a logo to advise against drinking during pregnancy. The new information is to be first launched on Coors' Carling brand and will roll out on other Coors brands over the coming months, the company said.

Coors Brewers, director of marketing Rob Borland said: "Approximately 700m cans of Carling are sold in the UK annually. We believe that this additional sensible drinking advice will have a significant impact on in increasing public awareness of the Government's sensible drinking message."

Coors already displays units of alcohol, the Drinkaware website and a sensible drinking message on all its cans and bottles.
