Constellation wants to grow vodka in South Korea

Constellation Brands is to launch Svedka Vodka in South Korea after signing an agreement with Lotte Holdings' alcohol unit.

Lotte Chilsung Liquor, which owns brands including Chum Churum soju, will exclusively import and distribute Svedka throughout South Korea, Constellation said today (1 July). “This partnership is a key landmark in our overall spirits strategy throughout Asia,” Jake Jacob, Constellation's VP for Asia, said. 

A Lotte Liquor spokesperson said the vodka category is “growing rapidly” in South Korea. “We are pleased to partner with Constellation Brands to further develop the vodka category,” the spokesperson said.
