US-based drinks giant Constellation Brands is to move the head of its European operations to a new position of chief executive of Constellation International.
The company, the world's largest wine producer by volume, has appointed Jon Moramarco to the post. He will take up the role on 1 March.
Moramarco will oversee Constellation Wines International, its Australian wine arm, Hardy Wine Co., and its New Zealand wine business, Nobilo Wine Group. UK-based Constellation Europe will also report to Moramarco, the company said yesterday (29 January).
Constellation president and COO Rob Sands said: "Our organisational review is perpetual, with refinements like the one announced today being a natural and evolutionary aspect of conducting business in a global environment."
Troy Christensen, CFO at Constellation Europe, will become president of Constellation International. He will be replaced by David Klein, who is vice president of corporate development at Constellation's head office in New York.
Earlier this month, Constellation lowered its forecast on earnings per share on the back of revenue and margin pressures in the UK.
Sectors: Beer & cider, Spirits, Wine
