Constellation Brands has completed its US$315m takeover of the Californian wine brand Meiomi.

The company, which first announced the deal in July, said it will now work to integrate the brand into its portfolio. "It is a natural fit," said Jay Wright, wine & spirits president for Constellation.

Meiomi, which launched in 2006, has grown from a 60,000-case brand in 2010 to almost 600,000 cases in 2014, according to Constellation. Meiomi Pinot Noir is ranked number one in dollar sales growth across all Pinot Noir price points in the latest IRI 12-week period, the company added.
