The CEO of Constellation Brands' international division is set to leave the company later this month.

The company confirmed today (5 June) that Jon Moramarco, who assumed the position in March 2007, will leave the company at the end of June.

When contacted by just-drinks, a spokesperson for Constellation said: "As part of a strategic review of the international organisation, the company decided to eliminate the position." Further details of where Moramarco was heading were not immediately available.

"Jon has been a highly valued member of the management team since 1999 and his strategic insight, knowledge and vast wine industry experience have helped us build a portfolio of brands that is unrivalled in the industry," said Rob Sands, president and CEO. "Jon's significant contributions are very much appreciated and we thank him for his many years of service."

Paul Hetterich, Constellation's executive VP of business development and corporate strategy, will oversee the international business of Constellation Europe, Constellation Wines Australia and Constellation New Zealand. Troy Christensen, the president of Constellation Europe, will assume responsibility for Constellation Wines Australia, and will report in to Hetterich. Joe Stanton, CEO of Constellation New Zealand will also report to Hetterich, while the president of Constellation Wines Australia, John Grant, will report to Christensen.

The reporting changes are effective immediately.
