S AFRICA: Coke names Africa marketing chief

Coca-Cola Africa has promoted its marketing chief in South Africa to take charge of the company's promotions across the continent.

The company said today (23 March) that Amanda Manchia (pictured) would take the role of group marketing director of Coca-Cola Africa on 1 April. Manchia moves up from her role as divisional marketing chief in South Africa.

Alex Cummings, president of Coca-Cola Africa, said: "Manchia's leadership of the pan-African marketing team will help support the drive for accelerated growth in the Africa Group and lead the implementation of our sponsorship of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa."
