US: Cognac One to import Champagne Ayala into US
By just-drinks.com editorial team | 15 January 2008
Cognac One, the wines and spirits importer and wholesaler formed by Xavier Flouret in June last year, has signed up its first brand, announcing that it is to be the exclusive US importer of Champagne Ayala, with effect from 1 January 2008.
Champagne Ayala, owned by the Bollinger group, will be available nationwide through a selection of reputable distributors, Cognac One said, adding that the brand had been absent from the US market for some time.
New York-based Cognac One also announced that the introduction of Champagne Ayala would be followed by the launch of a selection of wines under the Xavier Flouret brand. The line-up will include Old and New World wines, including initially offerings from France and Spain to be followed in due course by wines from Argentina, Chile and South Africa.
