MEXICO: Coca-Cola FEMSA, Coca-Cola complete Jugos del Valle purchase

Coca-Cola FEMSA and The Coca-Cola Co. have successfully completed the acquisition of Mexico-based juice company Jugos del Valle.

The two companies confirmed today (8 November) that they have acquired 100% of Jugos del Valle's shares through a public tender offer.

The transaction, which will be settled today, will cost Coca-Cola FEMSA and Coca-Cola around US$370m.

The two companies made the purchase through a joint venture company called Administracion. Both companies will now invite the rest of the bottlers of Coca-Cola-branded products in Mexico and Brazil to participate in the joint-venture.

Jugos del Valle is the second largest producer of juice, nectars and juice based products in Mexico, the largest in Brazil and with presence in other American markets.
