INDIA: Coca-Cola appoints vice president, strategy

Coca-Cola India has appointed Sangeeta Pendurkar as vice president of strategy.

Pendurkar, previously from HSBC Bank Middle East, will be responsible for providing leadership to Coca-Cola India's strategic planning initiatives and the International Trade business, the company said yesterday (5 March).

Reporting to Atul Singh, president and CEO of Coca-Cola India, Pendurkar brings with her over 20 years of experience working in marketing, sales and distribution across three sectors - FMCG, pharmaceuticals and financial services.

Singh said: "India and South West Asia business unit has a huge potential as these markets are relatively underdeveloped. The per capita consumption of soft drinks is one of the lowest in the world here. We are at the threshold of a packaged beverage revolution."
